Hello
friends! :- )
The
phase I am going to talk about here, I call it the “20-something-health-freak”
phase.
I
remember up till 3-4 years back, whenever I used to chat with my girlfriends…
words like “Calories” & “dieting” and phrases like “Look at my tummy!!! Oh
man…So embarrassing it is!” or “You look like a pregnant cow” never came up!!!
:P
I
never gave a 2nd thought
to how many calories a slice of bread must be having or that how many calories
will be safely deposited on my butt from that one super yummy cheese burst
pizza!!!
I (rather WE) just
ate & never thought so much. But as I (along with my friends) became a 20
something beings, it was as if we had transformed into some kind of an annoying
fitness freak!!!
I
would, and even now get occasional bouts of going to the gym and stretching my
body. But it is only OCCASIONAL and obviously I am still the same. :- (
My
mom calls me “Healthy” to make me happy and not feel offensive… and then I have
my friends who call me a “Cow” and “Pumpkin”, so that I feel offensive in every
possible way!!! :P heheeeeee….
For
a lot of 20 something people out there, even smelling that “Aalo ka paratha” is
a sin!!! (And that very much includes me!)
But
there are times when I let my hairs down and don’t give a dam as to what is
going down my gullet. I am an absolute foodie and love having Pani puri,
Jalegi(s), Pav Bhaji and what not! (To my international audiences, these are
all Indian dishes.)
I
have seen girls starve themselves with just an omelet and a glass of juice. Now
this is too much! Being health conscious is good. But being a freak to the
extent that you start starving yourself is absolutely unacceptable.
The
fact is that whether you are Fat or Slim is immaterial. What matters is who you
are. And who you are, is not determined by your “external” figure. Just believe
in yourself. :- )
So,
“Garv se kaho, hum chatore hain.”!!! And love yourself…!
Xactly..!!
