Someone with a full figure: I am happy being me!!!

Remember that particular scene from the movie “Devil wears Prada”, when Andrea (Anna Hathaway) suddenly realizes that she does NOT want to be a part of “that” world? And that she chooses not to follow Miranda (Meryl Streep)?
Well, I am happy to announce… that I too had a somewhat similar “Eureka-Moment” only a couple of minutes back!

I realized that after behaving like an idiot for god knows how many months, running after my dream of becoming “thin” and finally fit into a nice, sexy 1 piece, I was just trying to be someone else!

I am surrounded by females who are thin, show off to the T and can easily slip into a 1, 2 or how many ever pieces dress they wish to!!! But for someone who has always been on the border line of being slim & heavy, the choices are limited. And I am sure, that a lot of girls must be nodding their head in agreement!

I am not saying, “Being skinny or thin is not right!”… But all I am saying is that, “Don’t let it get into your head.” Because once it gets in, you only start harming your body.

I have seen models go anorexic… for obvious reasons! But this whole “fashion clad” society leaves no stone unturned in endorsing “thin-ism”. Even pregnant women are not spared! Actress Aishwarya Rai had only given birth to a new life and after months of carrying the baby girl, it takes time for the body to get back to normal shape. But people didn’t leave any chance of criticizing her when she made her public appearance. The media went crazy about her weight and behaved as if “gaining weight” was a hideous crime!!

So ya, I accept. I accept I got carried away for a while. But now, I am back on track and my aim is to stay fit and healthy! I am unique, and the qualities that I possess can never be found in the same proportion in any human being. So it’s time I start valuing what I have, rather than crying over something I am not!

P.S. I am proud of what I am. And someone has rightly said, “Haddiyon pe toh kutte marte hain!”
